What If?
Have you ever dared to wonder what if? Sometimes, when we think about the "what ifs" in our lives, we naturally lean toward regrets and missed opportunities, but considering "what ifs" doesn't have to be an exercise in the irrevocable past. "What if" can be the spark that ignites an entirely new way to live. In John 10:10 Jesus told the Pharisees that he has come that we might have a more abundant life. Isn't that what we all want? A more abundant life. Indeed, it has been promised to us, but do we have the courage to live our lives abundantly? And if so, where do we start? Why not start with considering possibilities. Why not start with a few "What Ifs?"
What if we forgave first?
Maybe we would have peace in our relationships and peace in our hearts.
What if we tithed on our time?
Maybe we would learn to live unselfishly and with meaning.
What if we took a risk?
Maybe we wouldn't have any regrets?
David, Gideon, Abigail, Ruth and the blind man who cried out for mercy - they had no regrets. What do you have to lose if God is in it?
What if we became a touchable Christ to our neighbors?
Maybe we would learn how to truly love our fellow man.
What if everything we wanted we already had?
Maybe we wouldn't be constantly wanting more, but would lead lives of contentment.
What if there was no such thing as worry?
Maybe we aren't trusting God enough.
What if we became exactly what God wants us to become?
Maybe all we need is a fresh start.
What if we worshiped everyday?
Maybe we would constantly feel His presence.
What If....The possibilities are endless. If you are a member of our church family, we challenge you, this new year, to consider some of your own personal "What Ifs" along with the ones presented. If you are a visitor to our site, we invite you to visit us in person (driving directions). What if the next choice you make is the beginning of your abundant life?
